Likely the toughest of all iPhone cases, the Defender is now available for the iPhone 4. The Defender offers multiple layers of protection for your iPhone in less than ideal usage. The first layer is a two-piece hardshell with a felt backing. The shell features a built-in film screen shield to protect the iPhone screen. Surrounding the shell is a rubbery skin that adds additional shock protection. To top it off, the case offers a snap on belt clip, which can be yet another layer. Overall the case seems to offers rugged protection of the iPhone. The trade-off of course is the added bulk, but if the iPhone is used in a dirty environment likely to get some bumps and scrapes, the Defender looks like your best bet.
